Highway 55 detour in Paynesville begins Jan. 24

PAYNESVILLE -- Highway 55 in Paynesville will be detoured Monday and Tuesday, weather permitting, from Kandiyohi County Road 6 to Highway 23.

Traffic will be detoured south on Kandiyohi County Road 6 and then east on Highway 23 to Highway 55. The detour will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days if weather permits.

Crews will place bridge beams for new bridges over Highway 55. The bridges are two of the eight bridges included in the Highway 23 Paynesville bypass project.
