Highway 9 closed between Benson and Hancock

DETROIT LAKES -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation office in Detroit Lakes reminds motorists that Minnesota Highway 9 between Hancock and Benson is closed to through traffic due to a road construction project.

Motorists should follow detour signs on Stevens County Road 8, Pope County Road 2 and Highway 29.

The $3.3 million project includes milling and paving, replacing culverts and replacing an approach panel at the Chippewa River bridge in Benson. The project is scheduled to be completed in mid-June, weather permitting.
