GROVE CITY -- Lac qui Parle Valley won its sixth straight game on Tuesday, topping Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 3-2 in a West Central South Conference baseball game.

After the Eagles (10-4, 12-6) scored to tie the game 2-2 in the top of the seventh, ACGC escaped further damage by pulling off a triple play, getting two of the runners out on rundowns.

In the eighth, Baxter DuFrane forced in the winning run when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

ACGC took a 2-1 lead in the third on RBI singles from Jeff Peterson and Brooks Maurer.

Aaron Olson went the distance for the win, allowing nine hits and striking out three.

Maurer took the loss, allowing just five hits in eight innings. He walked one and struck out six.
