HLWW edges Thunder Hawks with late surge

MINNEAPOLIS -- Montevideo has won some heartstoppers this season, but not this time.

Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted cut down the Thunder Hawks in the last seconds, 47-45 at Williams Arena.

With the crowd on its feet, the score tied, and 6.6 showing on the clock, the Lakers inbounded from the side, near center court, with the ball going over the top of the Montevideo defense directly to 6-7 Jeff Hammer.
