Homeowner interrupts burglary in Eden Valley, Minn., home, suspect flees

EDEN VALLEY -- The Stearns County Sheriff's office is actively investigating a home burglary incident reported around 7:30 a.m. today near Eden Valley.

According to a news release from Sheriff John Sanner, the burglary happened in the area of Highway 22 and County Road 34. The homeowner confronted a male burglar who entered the home through the back door. The burglar fled without taking anything.

Before the burglar entered the home, the doorbell was rung twice, but the owner didn't answer the bell.

The burglar is described as 30 to 35 years old, between 6-1 and 6-3 in height and skinny with a shaved head. He is possibly driving an older gray hatchback-type vehicle that is very dirty.
