Howard I. Rundquist March 21, 1929 - Dec. 2, 2008
CHATHAM, N.J. -- Howard Irving Rundquist, 79, died Tuesday at his home in Chatham, NJ.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Summit, N.J.
Arrangements are by Bradley and Son Funeral Home in Chatham.
He was born March 21, 1929, to Howard and Delilah (Erickson) Rundquist of Willmar. He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter in 1951 and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in Boston in 1958.
He served as a Navy lieutenant junior grade in the Korean War. He worked at Aubrey G. Lanston in New York City for more than 30 years and retired in 1994. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Summit and was a founding member of the board for the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He was a member of the Founders Society at Gustavus Adolphus College and an active Harvard Business School alumnus.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children: Sarah Rundquist of Bedminster, N.J.; Beth Rundquist of Southampton, N.Y.; Peter Rundquist of Garrison, N.Y.; Susan Rundquist Palmer of Oldwick, N.J.; and Rebecca Rundquist of Yarmouth, Maine; six grandchildren; and a sister: Elizabeth Rundquist of Willmar.
