Humane Society elects new board

WILLMAR — Board members were elected for the coming year at the annual meeting this week of the Humane Society of Kandiyohi and Meeker Counties.
Officers for 2013 are Jim Peterson, chairman; Darlene Larson, vice chairman; Sharon Mace, secretary; and Melanie Garberich, treasurer. Other members of the board are Joe Lenz, Lindsay Holtz, Mike Huberty, Steve Gardner, Brittany Vanderbill, Jim Butterfield and Jeff Schultz.
Huberty is a Meeker County Commissioner and Butterfield is on the Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners.
Membership in the Humane Society for 2013 is now open. Membership forms are available on the Humane Society’s website, www.thehskc.com. Completed forms, along with membership payment, may be sent to the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter, Box 709, Willmar, MN 56201.
