Hutch zaps Cardinals

PRIOR LAKE _ Willmar's late-season surge ended Saturday with a 5-1 loss to the Hutchinson Tigers in the Section 3A boys hockey semifinals at Dakotah Arena.

Trent Fader got Willmar's lone goal - in the third period which made it 3-1. But the Tigers answered to go up 4-1 and then added an open netter in the final seconds.

Willmar finished 11-14, winning five of its last seven games.

The Tigers, who lost 2-1 at Willmar, move into the section final.
