Increased landfill rates up for vote Tuesday by Kandiyohi County board
WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Commissioners will consider increasing landfill rates for individuals during their meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Health and Human Services Building.
Last month the Commissioners agreed to increase tipping fees for commercial haulers. Tomorrow the Commissioners will consider increasing fees for individuals who bring their own garbage to the landfill, located southwest of New London.
The fees haven't increased for 15 years.
The Commissioners will also discuss bids for an additional leachate storage tank at the landfill and take action on a proposed agreement with the city of Willmar for an RV dump site near the county's recycling and household hazardous waste facility.
Other items on the agenda include an amended grant for the CEE-VI Drug Task Force, a proclamation for "Move Over Day" and action on conditional use permits.
Prior to the board meeting, the Commissioners will meet as the Family Services Committee at 9 a.m.
The Commissioners meet on the second floor of the Health and Human Services building, located at 2200 23 St. NE, Willmar.
