Inez B. Syverson

BROOTEN -- Inez B. Syverson, 89, of Brooten, died Thursday at Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. today at West Lake Johanna Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Brooten.
She was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Norway Lake Township in Kandiyohi County to Cornel and Clara (Thoreson) Fosse. She grew up on a farm near Sunburg. She attended District 82 country school and later worked as a waitress at the Sunburg Café.
On March 20, 1943, she married Stanley Syverson. They lived on a farm 10 miles west of Brooten. She was a homemaker and helped on the farm.
She was a member of West Lake Johanna Lutheran Church, taught Sunday School and was an active member in the ladies aid, which included their quilting ministry. In her younger years she belonged to a women's bowling league in Brooten.
She is survived by her husband; sons: James (and Fran) Syverson of Glenwood, Stanley Syverson Jr. of Glenwood, Steven (and Linda) Syverson of Glenwood and Brian (and Doreen) Syverson of Sedan; daughter: Carrie (and Tony) Bilotta of Hastings; two grandchildren; sisters: Lorraine (and Harry) Hanson of Champlin, Virginia (and Bill) Pieper of Garrison and Shirley (and Donald) Alsaker of Bloomington; and brothers: Kenneth (and Margaret) Fosse of Rosemount and Stanley (and Kate) Fosse of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
