Information sought in elevator burglaries

MADISON -- The Lac qui Parle Sheriff's office and the Ortonville Police Department are seeking information on burglaries to two grain elevators Sunday evening or early Monday morning.

According to the sheriff's office, someone forced entry into the Bellingham Farmer's Elevator office and stole cash, garbage cans, chips, jerky, a stereo, computer monitor, car stereo and leather work gloves.

The burglary is under investigation by the sheriff's office. The public is asked to keep an eye out for suspicious activity and call 320-598-3720 with any information related to the case, or any other case.

The West-Con Elevator in Ortonville was also burglarized during the same time period. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money. Anyone with information about that burglary is asked to call the police department at 320-839-6161.
