The event features a full post-race meal of egg bakes and other breakfast foods, and “cooling performance” t-shirts, along with age-group awards. Register by Aug. 2 for the $20 rate; $25 after. Race day registration opens at 7 a.m. Start time is 8 a.m.
Proceeds will go to local food shelves and ELCA World Hunger. Participants are encouraged to bring a food shelf donation.

A free youth trapshoot is Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, sponsored by the Willmar Trap Club.
The shoot is west of Willmar on Highway 40 near the county brush site.
Youths must be accompanied by an adult and all firearms must be cased and unloaded.
Lunch and beverages will be provided, as will 12- and 20-gauge shells and ear protection.

Bow Hunt 60 target shoot Aug. 9-10 at PWELC
The West Central Bow Hunter 60 3-D shoot is Aug. 9-10, sponsored by the Little Crow Archers of Willmar and the Swift County Archers of Benson.
The shoot is at the Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center in rural Spicer.
The 60-target Full Course is $20 for adults, $15 for youth 16-under with a $55 family max. The course can be shot a second time for half price.
The 30-target Half Course is $12 for adults, $8 for youth 16-under with a $32 family max.

Wine, Women and Football Aug. 14
The Wine, Women and Football fundraiser is Aug. 14 at McKinney’s on Southside in Benson.
Benson coach Scott Gonnerman will discuss the sports, with a focus on defense this year.
