Intense storm brings potentially damaging wind

A powerful storm packing winds of up to 60 mph is moving through parts of Minnesota today. Motorists are cautioned to keep both hands on the wheel and forecasters have issued a high wind advisory.

Forecasters say the intense fall storm system could change rain to snow in northwestern Minnesota overnight.

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for central and southern Minnesota through Wednesday. A winter storm watch is in effect for the northwest where up to an inch of snow could accumulate.
