Isabella I. Wothe Dec. 11, 1923 - June 22, 2009

COSMOS -- Isabella Iris Wothe, 85, of Cosmos died Monday at Birchwood Hospice House in Hutchinson.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector and one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was born Dec. 11, 1923, to Herman and Martha (King) Mueller of Frazee. She received her education at District 84 near Frazee.

She married Theodore Wothe on April 23, 1946. For 33 years, they were in the grocery business in Cosmos. She worked for 10½ years at Suttle Apparatus in Hector.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was active with PLCW. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Commercial Club. She lived in Cosmos for 60 years until moving to Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson in March. She moved to Birchwood Hospice House in April.

Survivors include her children: Ron (and Kimberly) Wothe of Spicer and Kitty (and Bruce) Schlueter of Cedar Mills; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.
