It’ll be a full house for Target celebration in Benson
BENSON — A full house is a certainty for Tuesday evening’s Give With Target Class of 2013 celebration on the Benson football field.
Residents snapped up all of the 500 tickets that were being offered on Tuesday at the Benson Armory, reported Roger Ebnet, Northside elementary instructor in Benson.
The Northside Elementary School won Target’s national competition that includes a $10,000 prize and next Tuesday’s visit by celebrities. Among the celebrities expected are Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan, Olympic medal winner Gabrielle Douglas and Green Bay Packers Super Bowl and “Dancing With the Stars” champion Donald Driver.
All of the students in the school district, along with staff, are participating in celebration activites from 1 to 3 p.m. in the high school gym on Tuesday.
An evening celebration will be held on the footall field for students, their immediate families, school staff, and community members who went to the Armory on Tuesday to pick up free tickets for the event.
