OLIVIA -- Janice Mae Johnson, 66, of Olivia died Monday at Golden Living Center in Olivia.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Harvest Baptist Church in Redwood Falls. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls and one hour prior to the service. Memorials area preferred to Renville County Hopsice.
She was born April 13, 1943, in Tracey to Oscar and Esther (Krogh) Nelson. She attended school in Tracey. She later lived in southwestern Minnesota and the Twin Cities, moving to Redwood Falls in 1998. She worked as a nurse's aide in the metro area and in Redwood Falls. She moved to Fairfax in 2007 where she lived until moving to the Golden Living Center in 2009. She attended Harvest Baptist Church in Redwood Falls.
She is survived by her children: Tamie (and Jeff) Lenz of Olivia, Alan Johnson of St. Paul, Leland (and Dawn) Johnson of Lake Lillian, Shari (and Galen) Witte of Darwin, Curt (and Shari) Miller of Hutchinson and Tres Johnson of Olivia; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings: Howard (and Einie) Nelson of Westbrook, Ruth Delefson of Lamberton, Richard (and Delores) Nelson of Plainview, Betty Meyer of North Adams, Mich., Bobby (and Nancy) Nelson of Fairfax and David (and Betty) Nelson of Hillsdale, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her son: Tom; a great-granddaughter; and three sisters.
