Jeanette Huebsch Oct. 3, 1916 - July 27, 2009
LAKE LILLIAN -- Jeanette Alice Huebsch, 92, of Lake Lillian, died Monday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Lake Lillian. Burial will be in Community Cemetery at Lake Lillian.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the K-M Funeral Home in Lake Lillian with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born Oct. 3, 1916, in Minneapolis to Christ and Karin (Haugen) Trygestad. After her mother died in 1920, her father married Hattie Hanson. They settled in the Lake Lillian area in 1922. She attended District 81 North country school and Bird Island High School. She then attended beauty school and worked as a beautician in Bird Island. She later owned and operated Jeanette's Beauty Shop in Lake Lillian.
On Feb. 8, 1941, she married Vernon Huebsch. They lived and farmed southeast of Lake Lillian. She was a homemaker and farm wife.
She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Lake Lillian where she was active in the CCD program for many years. She was a member of and chaired the altar and rosary society/CCW and received several church honors. She participated in county home extension.
She is survived by her husband; children: Jacquelyn Huebsch of St. Paul, Maylon (and Marshall) Thorstad of Danube, Diane Seurer of Eagan and Jon Huebsch of Lake Lillian; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sisters: Lucille Wiger of Texas, Gertrude (and Horace) Hood of Delaware and Elaine Moore of Dassel.
She was Jeanette was preceded in death by her son: Michael; and one brother.
