Jeanette Imes July 7, 1936 - Sept. 17, 2013

WILLMAR - Jeanette Imes, 77, of Willmar, died Tuesday, September 17th at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar. Her funeral will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, September 22nd at Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Renville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. www.hafh.org

Jeanette C. Imes was born on July 7, 1936, in Ericson Township, near Sacred Heart, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Thelma (Pittinger) Hubert. Her family lived in the country until she was a teenager when they moved into Sacred Heart where she graduated from high school in 1954. While growing up, Jeanette attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Renville. After graduation, she moved to Olympia, Washington where she was united in marriage to Irwin Imes on October 2, 1954. Following the completion of his service, they returned to Granite Falls. The family lived in Granite Falls, on a farm near Clarkfield, in Benson before moving to Pennock in 1969. In 1973, Jeanette moved to Willmar and since moving to Willmar, Jeanette has been a faithful member of Church of St. Mary.

Her family remembers how she loved to tell stories of growing up and talking about history. Jeanette enjoyed flower gardening, visiting with friends and family, spending many hours on the phone, reading and music. Most of all, Jeanettes devotion to her family and her faith was what her life was all about.

Surviving are her children, Rick (and Bonnie Mizener) Imes of DeBorgia, MT; Kathy Imes of Willmar; Debra Imes of Elk River and Judith Leuze of Pennock; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and brothers, Marvin (and Phyllis) Hubert of Paynesville and John Hubert Jr. of Glencoe. Also surviving is her aunt, Marvel Mossdstad of West Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Linda Brining; sister, Judy Fischer; dauther-in-law, Dee Imes and son-in-law, Randy Leuze.
