WILLMAR - Johanna Wieberdink, 95, of Willmar, died Wednesday morning, February 13, at Bethesda PleasantView Nursing Home in Willmar.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 18, at the Christian Reformed Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Holland Township Cemetery in Prinsburg. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Tri-County Funeral Home in Prinsburg.

Johanna was born January 4, 1918, in Platte, South Dakota, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Wiersum) Swierenga. In 1923, after her father passed away, the family moved to Chicago for a few years before settling in Prinsburg. In 1935, Johanna married Leslie Wieberdink and they made their home in Prinsburg and later moved to Willmar.

Johanna was a wonderful Christian wife and mother and was an excellent homemaker. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church, where she was active in Bible Study and Ladies Aid. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters, especially her many travels with Katherine. She also enjoyed embroidery and playing the piano.

She is survived by six children, Melvin (and Sandra) Wieber of Colorado, Harvey (and Dolores) Wieberdink of California, Merle (and Paulette) Wieberdink of Willmar, Judy Lee of Willmar, Rosemary Cleary of Willmar and Larry Wieber of Minneapolis; a son-in-law, Dean Hansen of Big Lake; 23 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie Wieberdink in 1974; a son, LaVern Wieberdink; a daughter, Linda Hansen; a great-grandson, Aaron Wieber; two brothers, John Swierenga and Edward Swierenga; and two sisters, Henrietta Breems and Katherine Breems.
