RENVILLE - Judith Ann Gluth, age 70, of Renville, died Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the Parkview Home, in Belview, Minnesota. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013, at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Renville. The Rev. Rick Tuttle will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Renville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville. Visitation continues on Thursday one hour prior to the services at the church in Renville.
Judith Ann Gluth was born on November 4, 1942, at home on the farm near Olivia to Earl and Dorothy (Lippert) Dobmeier. She grew up in the Danube and Olivia area and graduated from Renville High School in 1960. She was united in marriage to Gene Gluth on September 1, 1962, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Judy and Gene moved back to Renville in 1963 and Judy owned and operated the North End Caf for many years. Judy also cooked at the Renville School for about 10 years. Judy also worked with the genealogical society at the Renville Public Library for several years. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and active with the Dorcas Society. She was also a 4-H Leader for many years. She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Shannon (and Ed) Sander of Sacred Heart, Greg Gluth of Granite Falls, Melissa (and Ron) Johnson of Paynesville, Mark Gluth of Granite Falls, and Michael Gluth (and special friend Vonnie Cole) of Granite Falls; her grandchildren: Ethan, Cody, and Kendra Sander, Thomas and Madison Gluth, Richard and Alex Johnson, Kristin, Kayla, and Kyle Gluth; and Leah Gluth; her three sisters: Carol Tongen of Red Lake Falls, Suzanne (and Denny) Kaufenberg of Sartell, and Vicky (and Mike) Ashburn of Sacred Heart; her sisters-in-law Jackie Mulder of Renville and Betty Parker of Decatur, AL, her brother and sister-in-law Bernie and Carol Gluth of Ft Atkinson, IA; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Dorothy Dobmeier, her husband Gene, her brother Dale Dobmeier, her brothers-in-law Herb Parker and Bob Tongen, and her mother-in-law Erna Gluth.
