GLENCOE - Juliet Victoria (Magnuson) Erickson, age 102, of Glencoe, Minnesota, and formerly of California passed away Friday, July 26, 2013, at Grand Meadows in Glencoe, Minnesota. Memorial services were held Saturday, August 10, 2013, 3:30 P.M., at Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment at a later date in California.

Juliet Victoria (Magnuson) Erickson was born on February 16, 1911, in Bowman County, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Knutson) Magnuson. Juliet was baptized as an infant in Bowman County, North Dakota and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth in Lake Lillian, Minnesota. She received her education in Willmar, Minnesota, graduating from Willmar High School. Juliet furthered her education by attending and graduating from St. Cloud State College in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She grew up on her family farm, first in Pennock, followed by Lake Lillian, Minnesota.

Juliet worked as a teacher in Minnesota and then worked at the War Department in St. Louis, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Robert Erickson, also from Lake Lillian, Minnesota. They moved to California, where Juliet worked as a social worker and probation officer in Los Angeles for the majority of her adult work life. At the age of 99, Juliet moved back to Minnesota to Grand Meadows Senior Living in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Juliet was known for her intelligence and had a great sense of humor. She was a strong Democrat and loved talking about her various idols, especially Adlai Stevenson, even in her final years she raved about President Barrack Obama! She was always comfortable sharing her ideas and thoughts about all subjects. Juliet loved playing bridge - she was excellent, skillful and became life master. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

Juliet passed away on Friday, July 26, 2013, at Grand Meadows in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 102 years, 5 months and 10 days.

Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Great-Great Nieces, Great-Great Nephews, other relatives and friends.

Juliet is preceded in death by her Parents, Joseph and Anna Magnuson; Husband, Robert Erickson; Siblings, Muriel Hansen, Willard Magnuson, Doris Bottoms, Oscar Magnuson and Robert Magnuson.
