HUTCHINSON -- Juren "Bud" Raske, 87, of Hutchinson died Monday at the Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson.
The service was Friday in Hutchinson. Dobratz-Hantge Chapel in Hutchinson handled arrangements.
He was born Jan. 14, 1922, in Crooks Township, Renville County, to Henry and Ethel (Herring) Raske. He attended country school in Renville County and then Agriculture School in Morris. He attended Lincoln Electric Welding School in Cleveland, Ohio, and then joined the Army and served from 1944 to 1946.
He married Myrtilla Kreps on March 30, 1941, in Lemars, Iowa. They farmed near Lake Lillian until 1961 when they moved to Litchfield. He worked for Anderson Crane.
He married Arvilla Berghuis on June 1, 1991, in Litchfield. They lived in Hutchinson and wintered in Arizona.
He is survived by his wife; children: Dennis (and Lois) Raske of Snohomish, Wash., and Wayne (and Vicky) Raske of Grand Portage, Jurene (and Allen) Kohn of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five stepchildren; siblings: Merna Aalderks of Renville, Bruce (and Bev) Raske of Renville and Dean (and Mary Jo) Raske of Apple Valley.
He was preceded in death by his first wife in 1990; two sons: Vern and Brian in infancy; two brothers; and one sister.
