Kandi Mall to host Enterprising Kids Oct. 19-20

The Enterprising Kids event is held during schools' fall break in the hallways of Kandi Mall. During the two-day event, more than 200 kids are invited to form groups, create handmade crafts and sell the creations at their business booth within the mall.

"Enterprising Kids is a great way for students to utilize their creative skills while learning how to successfully manage their own business,'' said John Vornholt, mall general manager, in a news release. "It also gives them something to do over their fall break. Kids sell crafts they have created and keep 100 percent of the profits.''

Kids from Kandiyohi County and all surrounding counties are invited. Entry forms are available at area schools, the Kandi Mall management office during business hours and online at www.shopatkandi.com.

Mall officials say this popular event will fill up fast. The application deadline is Oct. 5. Kandi Mall is in the 23rd year of sponsoring this educational event.
