Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners meets Tuesday

WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Commissioners will open bids at 10 a.m. Tuesday for a project to install a low pressure wastewater collection system around Diamond Lake. If given final approval, the system will be connected to the Green Lake Sanitary Sewer and Water District.

Also on the agenda Tuesday, the commissioners will consider price quotes for a project to conduct soil borings at the landfill, consider distribution of the gravel tax collected in 2009 and consider vacating portions of County Road 120.

County Attorney Boyd Beccue is expected to update the board of litigation involving the county and action on conditional use permits will be taken up at 11 a.m.

At 11:15 a.m. a public hearing will be held on revisions to the licensing ordinance for food, beverage and lodging establishments, manufactured home parks, recreational camping areas, youth camps and public roads.

The final item on the agenda is consideration of early retirement options for employees.

At 9 a.m., prior to the board meeting, the commissioners will meet as the family services committee. Items on that agenda include the annual report on the child protection and child welfare program and an update on the minor parents program.

The Commissioners meet on the second floor of the Health and Human Services building, located at 2200 23 St NE in Willmar.
