Kandiyohi County Board to meet Monday

WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday at the Health and Human Services building for its regular business meeting.

The board is meeting Monday, instead of Tuesday, because of Election Day.

After meeting as the Family Services Committee at 9 a.m. with discussions on adoption services and the Southern Prairie Health Purchasing Alliance, the commissioners will begin their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. when a public hearing on the county's hazard mitigation plan will be held.

Other items on the agenda include the school sheriff's deputy liaison position with the New London-Spicer School District, a loan sponsorship with the Shakopee Creek Headwaters project, a nuisance abatement at 11 a.m. and 2009 sewer rates for the Green Lake Sanitary Sewer and Water District.

At 11:30 a.m. the commissioners will meet as the Community Health Board.
