Kandiyohi County Board to meet Tuesday

WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners will conduct its regular meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday on the second floor of the Health and Human Services Building, 2200 23rd St. N.W. in Willmar.

Items on the agenda include a nuisance abatement hearing for Ralph Wersinger and Scott and Viona Hanson, selection of canvassing board representatives for the general election and a review of the ordinance regulating the use of outboard motors on Foot Lake.

The commissioners are also expected to take action on reappointing Tim Falkum as assessor and take action on a Veterans Services operational grant.

A presentation on improving the audio and visual equipment in the board room will also be discussed.

Prior to the regular meeting, the commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. as the Family Services Committee where they will recognize Sheila Ellingboe, who is retiring as the fiscal supervisor for the Family Services Department, and introduce Carol Tollefson, who will be stepping into that position.

Ann Stehn, director of Health and Human Services, will also discuss human services performance measurements and provide an update on administrative changes. At 1:30 p.m. Stehn and two commissioners will travel to Olivia for a meeting of the Kandiyohi County/Renville County Community Health Board. That meeting will be in the board room of the Renville County Office Building.
