The hearing, which will be held at the Health and Human Services Building as part of the commissioners’ regular meeting, will pertain to licenses for food, beverage and lodging establishments, manufactured home parks, recreational areas, camping areas, youth camps and public pools.

Other items on the County Board agenda include a joint powers agreement between the commissioner of Corrections and Kandiyohi County and a presentation of a radar unit the Sheriff’s Office is receiving from the state for participating in the “Toward Zero Deaths” project.

The commissioners will also hear an update on the Phase II transition in the county structure, including an official name change for the family services and public health departments. It’s being proposed to rename the combined departments as the “Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services.”

The board will also take official action on the resignation of County Attorney Jenna Fischer, who has been appointed as a district court judge, act on a wastewater renewal permit for the city of Willmar and take action on vacation of right of way on County Road 10.

The meeting begins at 10 a.m. on the second floor of the Health and Human Services, 2200 23rd St. N.W. in Willmar.

Prior to the regular board meeting, the commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. as the Family Services Committee.
