Kandiyohi County Board meets Tuesday

WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Health and Human Services Building for its regular meeting.

Items on the agenda include a report from the Veterans Service Officer, discussion on inserting a flier on zebra mussels into property tax statements and approval of a water safety grant.

The commissioners are also expected to hear a progress report on viewing drainage ditches and to set hearing dates for County Ditches 10, 19, 38, 43, 46, 47 and 48.

Assessor Tim Falkum will discuss options with the commissioners for raising assessment fees.

Prior to the board meeting, the commissioners will meet as the Family Services Committee at 9 a.m. Items on that agenda include a report about new mandates for transitional foster care and a report from Lutheran Social Service on the youth transition program.

The commissioners meet on the second floor of the Health and Human Services building, located at 2200 23rd St. N. E., Willmar.
