Kandiyohi County Board meets Tuesday in Willmar, Minn.

WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing at 10 a.m. Tuesday on a proposal to grant tax abatement for a cabinet and flooring business in the city of Kandiyohi.

The hearing is part of the board's regular meeting at the Health and Human Services Building at 2200 23rd St. N.E. in Willmar.

The commissioners will also hear an update from the county's environmental consultant on the investigation of groundwater pollution at the sanitary landfill.

Other items on the agenda include discussion on the 2012 budget for the Green Lake Sanitary Sewer and Water District, a presentation on a conveyance easement between Donald VanZee and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and action on conditional use permits.

Prior to the board's regular meeting, the Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. to discuss family service issues. Items on that agenda include an update on the county's adoption services and truancy program.
