The agreements includes a 2 percent salary increase for 2012, a 1 percent increase in 2013 and a 1.5 percent increase in 2014.

County employees had a hard-freeze in salary and benefits this year and in the two previous years took unpaid furloughs to help the county through a tough budget.

The Commissioners also approved a 2 percent salary increase for themselves to bring their annual salary next year to $28,702. The Commissioners haven't had an increase in pay since 2008.

The per diem the board receives for attending additional meetings will remain unchanged, at $70.
