Kandiyohi County, Minn., commissioners meet Tuesday

WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Commissioners will hear an update on the Central Minnesota Jobs and Training program when they meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday for their regular board meeting. Barb Chaffee, executive director of the jobs program, will also present a joint powers agreement for the board to approve.

Other items on the agenda include bid letting for bituminous surfacing, a public hearing on County Ditch 10, an update on the Grass Lake project and an amendment to the Grass lake contract with Barr Engineering.

At 11 a.m., representatives from the Kandiyohi County Lakes Association will present a request for matching funds for deputies to patrol lake access as a preventative measure for aquatic invasive species.

County Public Works Director Gary Danielson is scheduled to present a resolution for eminent domain for the County Road 9 project, followed by a report from the Minnesota Counties Insurance Trust and a presentation of an award given to County Attorney Jenna Fischer by the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.

At 1:15 p.m., the commissioners will meet at the Kandiyohi County Historical Society to hear a presentation on a proposal for a multi-purpose room addition to the existing museum.

At 9 a.m., the commissioners will meet as the Family Services Committee.

The commissioners meet on the second floor of the Health and Human Services Building, 2200 23rd St. N.W.
