Karen Cookson O'Hara Feb. 18, 1946 - Aug. 11, 2009
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Karen Rae Cookson O'Hara, 63, of Anchorage, Alaska, died Aug. 11 in Anchorage after a lengthy illness.
The service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the New London Evangelical Covenant Church.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
She was born Feb. 18, 1946, in Willmar to Carl and Arlette (Dalbeck) Kulset. She graduated from New London-Spicer High School in 1964. She lived in many parts of the country.
She married Thomas O'Hara on Dec. 19, 1992, in Anchorage. She was a volunteer for many causes.
She is survived by her husband; children: Timothy (and Lori) Cookson, Michael Cookson, Kelly Jaeger and Heidi Cookson; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her mother: Arlette (Kulset-Dilley of New London; siblings: Sam Kulset, David (and Penny) Kulset, Gary (and Cheryl) Kulset, James (and Judy) Kulset, Laura (and Jon) Brouwer, Marilyn Holtkamp, Joan Kulset, Linda (and James) Radabaugh and Diane Wosmek.
She was preceded in death by her father, an infant son and one brother
