Mille Lacs walleye fishing season to end in two weeks

Kathryn, N.D., being evacuated because of erosion to nearby dam

KATHRYN, N.D. - Officials issued a Code Red alert this morning to evacuate the small Barnes County town of Kathryn because of erosion of the Clausen Springs dam.

Officials were reporting that the dam west of the city of about 60 people was 40 percent eroded.

Kathryn is about 17 miles miles south of Valley City.
