CLARA CITY -- Katie Heleea Feldman, 87, of Clara City died Tuesday at Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Clara City and one hour before the service Saturday at the church.
She was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Rheiderland Township, south of Bunde, to Henry and Elizabeth (Tebben) Grussing. She grew up in the Bunde area where she attended country school. She helped on the family farm.
She married Ailt Feldman on Feb. 23, 1938. They farmed in the Clara City area. They moved to Texas for a number of years and retired in 1975 to the Spicer area. They returned to Clara City in 1995.
She was a member of Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City and was active with the ladies serving circle. While living in Spicer, they were members of Hope Presbyterian Church where Katie served as a deacon.
She is survived by her husband; children: Roger Feldman of Clara City, Harriet (and Tom) Bliese of Mankato, Alice (and Gary) TeBeest of Richmond, Va., and Wally (and Cindy) Feldman of Gallup, N.M.; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Jessie Roskens of Jamestown, N.D., Harriet Ulferts of Granite Falls, Louis (and Marilyn) Grussing of Montevideo, and Paulina (and Pete) Freiborg of Clara City.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Westerman, and one brother.
