REDWOOD FALLS -- Kevin Douglas Farmer, 50, of Redwood Falls died Sunday at Seasons Hospice Home after a long battle with cancer.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. A private burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services. Arrangements are with the Redwood Valley Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 4, 1959, in Redwood Falls to Ray and Lorraine (Weyer) Farmer. He was the 1959 New Year's baby in Redwood Falls. He graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1977 and moved to the Twin Cities area.
He married Nina (Paulson) Hooker on Sept. 11, 1982, in Savage. He worked as safety manger at Express Messenger Inc. in Minneapolis. He moved to Redwood Falls in 2007. He was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls.
He is survived by his children: Christopher Farmer and Leslie Farmer, both of Bloomington; his parents; siblings: Chuck (and Tammy) Farmer of Redwood Falls, Rick (and Ida) Farmer of Morton, Ron (and Susie) Farmer of Chaska, Sandy (and Diego) Alvarez of Merritt Island, Fla. and Julie (and Joel) Read of Redwood Falls.
