KMS notches 1st win
KERKHOVEN -- Marc Beckman and Aaron Zimmer both hit two-run homers and Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg beat Dawson-Boyd 14-7 in a Camden Conference baseball game Monday.
Beckman, who went 3-for-4, homered in the Fighting Saints' five-run first inning. Zimmer hit his homer during a four-run third inning.
The teams combined for 14 errors in a cold and blustery day.
Taylor Freetly, who threw the first four innings for the win, and John Glimsdal each had two hits for KMS (1-3, 1-4).
Freetly allowed six hits and seven runs (two earned), while walking four and striking out three. Jonah Johnson pitched the last three innings for KMS, allowing one hit and no runs, while striking out three.
Losing pitcher Donnie Hermanson had two of the Blackjacks' seven hits.
