Lady Warriors falter in second half, lose 87-62

ROCHESTER -- The Ridgewater women's basketball team trailed by three points at halftime, but couldn't keep up with No. 2-ranked Rochester in the second half.

The Lady Warriors lost 87-62 Saturday as the Yellowjackets put up 55 second-half points.

Ridgewater handled the Rochester full-court press well in the first half, according to coach Carrie Ogdahl, and the Lady Warriors were trailing onlyt 35-32 at halftime.

But Rochester broke out in the second half and Ridgewater fell back, scoring just 27 points.

Chelsea Voorhees scored 16 points to pace Ridgewater. Alison Mason added 13 points. Tara Thielke was held to nine points, but she grabbed eight rebounds and had seven steals.
