WILLMAR -- Ridgewater saw its winning streak stretch to six games after the Lady Warriors swept a non-division doubleheader with North Dakota State College of Science behind two solid pitching performances Tuesday.

Andrea Krause started in the pitcher's circle in the opener and the freshman went on to toss a three-hit shutout in Ridgewater's 8-0 win.

Shannon Heitz followed by tossing a one-hitter in the second game as the Lady Warriors collected a 5-1 win.

Ridgewater (15-5) has a day off before traveling north to play an MCAC Southern Division twin bill with Fergus Falls Thursday beginning at 3 p.m.

Game One

Ridgewater 8, NDSCS 0

Bevin Williams led off the fifth inning with a double and then advanced to third base on Jen Storck's single. One out later, Samantha Cunningham singled to left field to drive in Williams and invoke the eight-run rule.

The Lady Warriors broke the game open an inning earlier when nine batters went to the plate to produce five runs. Andrea Krause highlighted the frame with a two-run single. Brandi Bodin added an RBI double and Emily Roelike knocked in another run with a single.

Krause struck out six and surrendered just three singles and two walks.

Game Two

Ridgewater 5, NDSCS 1

Emily Roelike legged out an inside-the-park home run in the fifth inning to put Ridgewater ahead 2-1. Aimee Johnson singled earlier in the inning and scored on the play. It was Roelike's fifth home run in the last six games.

Roelike, Jen Storck and Bevin Williams added insurance in the sixth when all three had RBI singles.

Shannon Heitz gave up just one hit and struck out seven to make up for issuing five walks. NDSCS scored its only run on a throwing error in the first.
