CAMBRIDGE -- Ridgewater College appeared on the way way to its 14th straight win on Thursday when the wheels came off.

The Lady Warriors had won the first game of the MCAC Southern Division twin bill with Anoka-Ramsey and led 11-5 in the second game entering the sixth inning. But the Golden Rams, who had dropped two games at Willmar on Monday, scored four runs in the sixth and four more in seventh to pull out the win.

Ridgewater is scheduled to host Riverland College in another doubleheader at 3 p.m. today.

Game One

Ridgewater 7, Anoka-Ramsey 0

Andrea Krause windmilled a six-hit shutout accomplished without a strikeout or a walk.

Brandi Bodin and Sara Beyer each went 3-for-4 as the visitors to the Cambridge campus pounded out 15 hits.

Krause, Bevin Williams, Jen Storck and Aimee Johnson had two hits apiece.

Game Two

Anoka-Ramsey 13, Ridgewater 11

Ridgewater built their 6-run lead with the help of two-run homers by Bodin and Johnson and a solo shot by Emily Roelike.

The Rams' were also fueled by home runs. Randee Hanson smacked a three-run homer in the third and in the seventh Mel Palm led off with a solo shot followed by a three-run blast with no outs off Krause. She had relieved Shannon Heitz, who took the loss.
