MACCRAY submits single-campus proposal to state

Laine to retire from GlenOaks post

NEW LONDON — After several years as administrator and CEO throughout Benedictine Health System facilities, Jim Laine will retire from his role as administrator and CEO of Grace Living Community of GlenOaks, New London.

He will be leaving his position effective Sept. 12. He plans to spend time with family and take on some interim assignments to keep busy.

Laine joined Health Dimensions as administrator at Cambridge Health Care Center in 1993 where he served for 9 years. In 2002, he transferred from Cambridge to Innsbruck to fill the administrator position there and in December 2003 decided to leave the system.

In August 2010, Laine returned to Benedictine Health System as administrator and CEO at Grace Living Community of GlenOaks. During his time at GlenOaks, he has worked with his team to bring the campus from 2 stars to 4 stars, continued to work toward sustainability and to expand services offered into the independent apartments.

“Jim has a strong history of taking on difficult assignments, and working to bring levity to tough situations. I want to thank him for the many years of service he has given to long-term care and to BHS specifically. I will miss working with him,’’ said Andy Opsahl, vice president of operations for Benedictine Health System.
