The Ramsey County Medical Examiner has preliminarily determined that the cause of death for Lisa Marie Grijalva, 15, is being ruled a homicide and the cause of death for Jacob Zachary Campbell, 14, is being ruled a suicide.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is still considering all aspects of this case and the investigation is still on-going.

Washington County authorities received a 911 call at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The caller had apparently come across the bodies in the bluff areas of Humphries Park, located at 2nd Street North and Quality Avenue North in Lakeland.

Grijalva of Oak Park heights and Campbell of Lakeland were ninth grade students at Oak-Land Junior High School in Lake Elmo, Minnesota.

School administrators informed teachers and students of the deaths on Wednesday and allowed students to meet with counselors if they wished, said Derek Berg, the school's principal.
