Lamberton man airlifted after three-vehicle crash near Granite Falls

GRANITE FALLS -- David M. Lange, 59, of Lamberton, was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center for treatment of head and internal injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday along Highway 212 near Granite Falls.

According to the State Patrol, Lange was driving a 1998 Dodge Ram truck that struck a 2006 International semi driven by Shawn L. Ellingson, 37, of Summit, S.D., which struck a 1999 Mercury driven by Vivian L. Anderson, 85, of Montevideo. Anderson had slowed to turn and Ellingson had slowed behind her vehicle, when Lange's pickup slammed into the back of the truck.

Lange was taken to Granite Falls Hospital before being airlifted. He also sustained a broken arm. Neither Anderson or Ellingson was injured.
