Lance R. Peltier May 27, 1958 - March 23, 2009

STARBUCK -- Lance Richard Peltier, 50, of Starbuck, died Monday at his home.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood United Parish. Inurnment will be at Glenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

He was born May 27, 1958, in Tacoma, Wash., to William Peltier and Joy Hines. He grew up in Sauk Centre and moved to Glenwood when he was 10. He attended school in Glenwood and graduated from Granite Falls High School. He attended Saint Cloud Technical College.

He married Elizabeth Anderson on Aug. 12, 1978, in Benson. They lived in Glenwood before moving to Starbuck in 2000. He worked as a welder and painter in the Alexandria area for many years. He was a member of the Starbuck Jaycees, Minnewaska Youth Soccer Association, Wrestling Booster Club, Jaycee Kid Wrestling and was president of the Starbuck VFW Men's Auxiliary.

He is survived by wife; children: Cody Peltier of Starbuck, Amanda Peltier (and Shad Wilhite) of St. Cloud and Emerald Peltier (and Dustin Wagner) of Starbuck; four grandchildren; his father of St. Paul; sisters: Michele Peltier of St. Paul and Cynthia Peltier of Starbuck.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.
