Lane on Willmar bypass closed

WILLMAR. -- Starting today, one of the northbound lanes of the Highway 71, Highway 23 bypass near Civic Center Drive in Willmar is closed as crews begin a bridge approach panel replacement project.

The lane closure will remain in place until Oct. 11, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to follow posted signs and reduce speed to 40 miles per hour through the work zone.

The completed project will provide a smoother and improved ride for motorists and accommodate heavier truck loads on bridge approaches.
