MORRIS -- Larry Dean Nohl, 64, died Friday at the Courage Cottage in Morris. He had suffered with Lou Gehrig's disease.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Apostolic Christian Church near Morris. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church fellowship hall, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are by Pedersen Funeral Home of Morris.

He was born Dec. 7, 1944, in Morris to Lawrence and Sophie (Banwart) Nohl. He grew up on the family farm near Hancock, and began his education in the Hancock Public School. He graduated from West Central School of Agriculture in Morris.

He worked for a few years in the gravel business and later farmed in the Morris area.

He married Bonnie Moser on March 29, 1970. They lived on the farm until moving into Morris in September 2006. He continued farming with his brother and two sons.

He is survived by his wife; three children: Doug (and Amber) Nohl of Morris, Sheila (and Greg) Reuter of Morris and Todd (and Jamie) Nohl of Hancock; daughter-in-law: Kristi Nohl of Morris; eight grandchildren; his mother of Hancock; two sisters: Ruth Nohl and Lynda Nohl of Hancock; and a brother: Kenneth (and Jackie) Nohl of Hancock.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry, and by his father.
