The Rockets advance to the Class C Tournament starting Friday in Glencoe and Brownton.

Jordan Smith threw all 10 innings for the win. He allowed eight hits and walked none. The Saints' run in the sixth was unearned.

Sacred Heart pitcher Jeremy Hinderks carried a one-hit shutout into the bottom of the ninth when the Rockets scored an unearned run around hits by Knott and Zach Nelson, the latter for an RBI.

In the bottom of the 10th, Smith singled with one out, was bunted to second by Mike Jeseritz, and winged it home when Knott hit a hard single to right field. Smith easily beat the throw to the plate.

Sacred Heart plays the winner of Saturday's late game between Milroy and the Cold Spring Rockies at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. The winner of that game plays Raymond at 4 p.m. to determine state seeding.

Milroy took out Bird Island 4-0 earlier on Saturday.

At Spicer, Elrosa jettisoned Norway Lake-Sunburg from the 15C loser's bracket 5-2 on Saturday afternoon.
