MORA -- Lee Fred Oestreich, 88, of Mora, formerly of Willmar, died Saturday at Villa Health Care Center in Mora.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church of Mora. Burial will be in Brook Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home of Mora.

He was born Oct 3, 1920, in Willmar to Albert and Etta Oestreich. He attended school in Willmar and graduated in 1939. After high school he farmed with his father.

He married Ruth Eleanor Boe in 1945 and continued to farm by Pennock. In 1954 they moved to the Quamba area where he farmed and worked at the Land O' Lakes Feed Mill until he retired. They moved back to Willmar after retirement for several years, and then moved back to the Mora area to be closer to their children.

He is survived by sons: Herman (and Lois) Oestreich of Braham, Kenneth (and Sheryl) Oestreich of Fridley, Jim (and Cheryl) Oestreich of Finlayson, and Joe Oestreich of Mora; daughters: LaVonne (and Gary) Hogstad of Blaine, Kathleen Keath of Blaine, Sue (and John) Jamerino of Ham Lake; daughter-in-law: Janice Oestreich of Mora; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2000; son: Mike; and daughter: Patricia.
