LeeAnn J. Peterson June 20, 1953 - Feb. 19, 2009
NEW LONDON -- LeeAnn Jo Peterson, 55, of Brooten died Thursday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake, rural New London. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church and one hour before the service at the church. Johnson Funeral Home in New London is handling arrangements.
She was born June 20, 1953, in Minneapolis to Dale and Olive Caylor. She grew up in Spicer, mainly at the Green Lake Bible Camp where her father was the director. She attended New London-Spicer Elementary School and graduated from New London-Spicer High School in 1971. She attended Willmar Area Vocational Technical Institute and received an associate degree. She moved to Minneapolis where she worked briefly for Hauenstein and Burmeister Inc. She moved back to Willmar and began work as an operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company.
She married Al Peterson on Oct. 5, 1974, in Spicer. They lived in rural Brooten. She worked for Baytone Music in New London before becoming an assistant at the Lake Area Review Newspaper in New London.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake where she was a church council member, Sunday school teacher and served on various committees. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Clubhouse Girls.
She is survived by her husband; sons: Landon (and special friend Jamie David) of Brooten, and Grant (and Tessie) of Brooten; one grandson; her mother of Spicer; and siblings: LaNae Osmond of New London, James Caylor of St. Cloud, Kent (and Cindy) Caylor of St. Cloud, Debbie Caylor of Spicer, and John (and Sherry) Caylor of Long Lake.
She was preceded in death by her father.
