WILLMAR -- Shaun Hatlestad and Jack Schwaegrel had three hits apiece to help the New London-Spicer Legion team hand Willmar its third straight loss Thursday, 6-4 at Swansson Orange.

Hatlestad also got the win on the mound. In six innings. he allowed seven hits, walked two and fanned two. Kevin Soine came on to pitch three innings of two-hit, scoreless relief.

Willmar pitchers Andrew Bangen and John Sawatzky gave up a total of 10 hits. They didn't walk a batter but Bangen hit five and Sawatzky two.

Willmar tied it 4-4 in the bottom of the fourth when Jake Rambow reached on a hit by pitch then stole second and third and scored on a ground out.

But Joe Johnson's leadoff double led to the go-ahead run in the NLS fifth.

Morris (11-7) rebounded from a 3-1 deficit with a six-run fifth inning.

Tyler Hanson hit a two-run single to start the rally and Brady Valnes' two-run single was the final scoring hit.

Hansen and Dustin Sauter had two hits each. Nate Gades pitched five innings for the win, allowing three runs on six hits. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Cameron Simmonds highlighted Benson's three-run fifth with a two-run double. He led the team with two hits.

Milroy 8, MACCRAY 4

Milroy put up a four-spot in the second and MACCRAY never recovered and saw their record drop to 4-6.

The Scarlets pulled to within one of the lead, 5-4, with two runs in the fifth and a run in the sixth.

But Milroy scored three unearned runs in the bottom of the sixth on just one hit, a walk and several passed balls after strikeouts.

Dominic Dolan led Milroy with three hits.

Jordan Smith, Shaun Condon and Darren Eschens all had two hits and one RBI for MACCRAY.

Losing pitcher Caleb Hanson pitched five innings, allowing nine hits and five runs, while fanning eight.

Jordan Smith had four strikeouts in one inning of relief but Milroy was able to score three unearned runs.

Matt Geislinger of Eden Valley-Watkins (9-1) held BOLD to three hits and hit a solo home run to help his own cause.

Geislinger struck out 12 batters and walked three.

Kyle Krause had two hits for the Mudhens (7-5).

Jake Stevens allowed just six hits in the loss.

Dakota Freiborg pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 13 strikeouts. Only two Minneota batters reached base, both in the fourth on a walk and an infield error.

Freiborg struck out the side in the second, third and fifth innings.

A 12-hit Sacred Heart offense was led by Brett Feldman's three hits and three RBI.

Jordan Daugherty's two hits included a triple. Mitch Agre and Trent Novotny also had two hits apiece.

Tri-Town (0-9) scored its only run in the first inning when Trever Heining came home on an error at second base. Ryan Larson, who had two of the team's three hits, stole second and the throw missed the target, allowing Heining to score.

Colton Vien threw a gem, beating Granite Falls on a three-hitter with no walks and 10 strikeouts.

Mason Hegna's solo home run in the third off Vien made it 2-1, but a five-run fifth inning buried the home team at Richter Field.

Joe Bedner had three of Montevideo's nine hits.

Granite starter Dylan Lindstrom pitched into the fifth inning before giving way to Travis Enger.
