PRINSBURG -- Ryan Fransen delivered a two-run single in the seventh inning to help his own cause on the mound and propel Sacred Heart/MACCRAY past Prinsburg 4-1 Monday.

Fransen worked all seven innings on the hill to earn the win after striking out nine and giving up just one walk, an earned run and five singles.

The Scarlets (2-2) had a slim 2-1 lead entering the seventh and after Brett Feldman walked and Mitch Treml singled, Fransen singled in both for some insurance.

The Scarlets also scored in the third on Cody Boonstra's double and in the sixth when Griffin Schaub knocked in Fransen with a bases-loaded suicide squeeze.

Prinsburg scored its lone run in the fourth when Tyler Daugherty came home from third on a groundout. Sam Ohden, the losing pitcher, and Nick Daugherty had two hits each for Prinsburg.
